Katy grew up in Abilene, Texas and attended Texas A&M University where she obtained a BBA degree in Management. She started a wedding and event floral design company right out of college called Stems of Dallas. She learned quite a bit jumping into business ownership as a 22-year-old! After a little over seven years of co-owning Stems, she decided to start the next chapter of her life. In 2017 Katy welcomed her son, Henry, and began working for two different companies: Tour de Profit, a business advisory firm, and Boxwood Hospitality. 

When Henry was 15 months old, Katy and her husband decided to do something totally out of character. They sold their house and traveled all around the world with Henry for about four months, starting in Sri Lanka and finishing in Amsterdam.

Katy and her husband welcomed their daughter, Madeline, in February 2021 and have been adjusting to life as a family of four ever since!
